Building for the complex: How EMIs scale corporate card programmes with white-label infrastructure
Sõprade uudisedCorporate card programmes become harder to launch and scale when the businesses they serve operate across multiple entities, countries and currencies.
Onboarding must account for more complicated ownership and organisational structures. Card controls may need to reflect different roles, spending policies and approval workflows. Currency requirements and operational processes can also vary between customers and markets.
On 8 October, Koda’s member Wallester, together with Transferra, will host a practical webinar exploring how fintechs and payment institutions can build card programmes for these requirements without developing and maintaining the entire issuing infrastructure internally.
Why this matters now
Growth in B2B financial services is not only about processing more transactions. It often means serving more specialised customer segments with requirements that standardised card products cannot fully address.
A fintech entering a new market or targeting a more complex corporate niche may need to consider BIN sponsorship, corporate onboarding, configurable controls, multi-currency workflows and the division of compliance and operational responsibilities.
White-label infrastructure can provide a foundation for these capabilities and help reduce time to market. However, companies still need to understand how the partnership works, what the technical implementation requires and which responsibilities remain with them.
What you’ll learn
The webinar brings together three perspectives on building and scaling corporate card programmes.
Business and infrastructure
Karine Martinez, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Wallester, will explain why fintechs and EMIs use white-label issuing infrastructure, how BIN sponsorship fits into the model and how infrastructure choices influence time to market. She will also discuss how companies can support specialised B2B use cases without building the entire issuing stack themselves.
Technical implementation
Georgi Prelovski, Senior Implementation Manager at Wallester, will cover the implementation layer. This includes integrating Wallester’s API suite, configuring custom corporate controls and managing distinct multi-currency workflows.
Real-world EMI experience
Alexey Reshko, Chief Operating Officer at Transferra, will share the operating perspective of an FCA-authorised EMI serving businesses globally. Transferra has grown to more than 1,000 registered clients and supports cross-border payments in over 40 currencies.
Alexey will discuss the realities of onboarding multinational corporate structures, serving businesses with different operational requirements and using white-label infrastructure as part of a scalable B2B proposition. He will also consider how targeted extensions, such as founder accounts, can complement the core programme.
