The Estonian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Work in Estonia shares business experiences of foreign recruitment. All business leaders and personnel managers are welcome.

Your business won't grow because there aren't enough workers? There are available candidates, but their salary for wish is times greater than your company can handle? You would like to recruit specialists from a foreign country but you don't know where to start?
If you answered positively to at least one of the questions above, this is for you! Every month, we visit a business who recruits from foreign countries and share the experience and encourage those, who have not yet sought workers from a foreign country but are considering the option. Maybe this could be the solution for shortage of staff in your business.

The second visit of 2019 takes us to a business, the name of which might not say much at first, but who has plenty of experience with foreign recruitment.

Visiting Malwarebytes in Tallinn

28th of March from 3pm until 5pm

The experience of foreign recruitment of Malwarebytes will be shared by the Tallinn office manager Fernando Francisco and recruiter Elvi Jaska.

Participation is free of charge for everybody, pre-registration is required. The places for each event are limited.

Malwarebytes is an international business and has a team of 800 workers by now. Our headquarters is located in San Francisco, California. Other bigger offices are located in Clearwater, Cork, and also Tallinn.
We expanded to Estonia in May 2016 and by now, we have 60 employees. Many of the top specialists have been recruited from different countries - Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Italy, Romania, and also England.

There are several reasons why we place such importance in foreign recruitment. The main reason is the field in which we are active and thus, it has been a great challenge to find workforce with the necessary competence.

Due to lack of top developers in Estonia and other Baltic states, the salary levels have risen remarkably. The salary expectations have reached the same level as in Western Europe, which is why our goal is not to search from other Estonian businesses, but recruit suitable top developers from foreign countries. Owing to the recruitment partners in Russia, Ukraine, but also Estonia, we can help balance the salary levels in the local market. It is also worth mentioning that the interest in moving to Estonia has grown considerably. Many applicants have stressed that they see Estonia as one of the top countries for Startups - this makes foreign recruitment significantly easier.

Foreign recruitment requires sufficient preparatory work and effort, in order to find suitable networks and partners for successful cooperation.
