Timeless Talent
Timeless Talent is a cross-border cooperation project between Finland and Estonia that supports employees aged 50+ in maintaining their work ability, wellbeing and competitiveness in the labour market. The project focuses on the industrial, logistics and service sectors, where an ageing workforce, rapid changes in the work environment, increasing physical and mental workload, and growing labour shortages create challenges for both employees and employers.
The project develops and pilots a Work Ability Training Programme that helps employees aged 50+ strengthen their skills, motivation and work ability, and supports them in remaining active in working life for longer. The programme combines online and face-to-face learning, peer support, expert guidance and individual development plans tailored to participants’ needs.
In addition to supporting employees, the project strengthens cooperation between companies, experts and regional stakeholders to promote workplaces that better take into account the needs of older employees and support longer working careers.
As a result of the Timeless Talent project:
- at least 80 employees aged 50+ in Finland and Estonia will improve their work ability and competitiveness through participation in the Work Ability Training Programme;
- participants will receive tailored support to strengthen their health, skills, motivation and workplace wellbeing through training, individual development plans and cross-border learning activities;
- employees aged 50+ will be better supported in continuing longer and healthier working careers;
- companies in the industrial, logistics and service sectors will be better equipped to respond to labour shortages and demographic change;
- practical and transferable training materials, methods and digital resources will be developed;
- project materials will remain publicly available after the project ends, enabling companies and organisations across Europe to apply and adapt the programme in their own contexts.
