One hour of legal consultation per year is free for Chamber members
If your company needs legal advice or assistance in drafting a contract, you can turn to the Chamber’s lawyers. The Chamber’s lawyers advise companies on all issues related to business. For example, companies contact us regarding contracts, taxes, labor law, commercial law, public procurement, and consumer rights.
The Chamber’s lawyers also assist with drafting and reviewing contracts. In this process, we ensure that the contract complies with the law and does not contain unreasonable risks. You can also use the contract templates available in our e-shop. The e-shop contains more than 100 contract templates and sample documents in Estonian, English, and Russian. If necessary, we will draft a contract tailored to your company’s specific needs.
The Chamber’s lawyers also provide advice if a business partner has failed to pay, if purchased goods or services do not meet requirements, or if an unfounded claim has been made against your company.
You can also contact the Chamber’s lawyers if your foreign cooperation partner requires proof of, for example, the absence of tax arrears, company registration, or circumstances of force majeure (e.g. storm, flood).
Our lawyers are actively involved in drafting bills related to business. If the state plans to amend, for example, a tax law or the Employment Contracts Act, the draft changes are also reviewed by our lawyers. Thanks to this, the Chamber’s lawyers are well informed about the latest legislative changes and can also draw attention to requirements that will enter into force, for example, six months from now.
One hour of consultation is free per year
Each Chamber member is entitled to one hour of free legal consultation per year. This is sufficient to resolve many smaller issues. It should be noted that the free hour does not carry over to the following year. Subsequent consultations cost members €50 + VAT, and non-members €100 + VAT.
The Chamber’s lawyers provide legal advice in Estonian and English.
Unlike law firms and attorney offices, the Chamber’s lawyers do not represent companies in court.
