The National Defence Promotion Foundation Together with the Estonian Auditors’ Association, Delivered Krattworks Drones and Additional Equipment to Ukraine
In spring, the Estonian Auditors’ Association, in cooperation with The National Defence Promotion Foundation, collected donations with the aim of supporting the development of Estonia’s defence industry, helping Ukraine, and thereby also contributing to the protection of Estonia. In early June, five Ghost Dragon drones from Krattworks, purchased with the collected funds, were handed over to Ukraine's 3rd Assault Brigade, which will use the equipment in combat areas near Izium.
Summarizing the successful campaign, Märt-Martin Arengu, President of the Estonian Auditors’ Association, said that cooperation with Ukrainian colleagues began back in 2022 after the full-scale war started, in order to exchange information and share Estonian auditing practices with Ukrainian auditors. “When in early 2025 sworn auditor Rein Ruusalu called for a campaign to support Ukrainian defenders with military products made in Estonia, the Auditors’ Association was immediately on board. Looking at the interim results now, I’m pleased for three reasons: first, so many auditors joined the campaign; second, by contributing to Ukraine's security, we also help defend Estonia; and third, we’re doing this by supporting Estonian companies' product development and exports,” Arengu said.
Mait Palts, Head of The National Defence Promotion Foundation, praised the active involvement and sense of mission demonstrated by the Auditors’ Association: “It’s always encouraging to see different organizations showing strong commitment and willingness to stand for Ukraine and, through that, for Estonia’s values and freedom. Many thanks to all the auditors who supported the campaign,” he said, expressing hope that similarly successful campaigns can be conducted in the future, and inviting various organizations to get involved and contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s combat capability.
Krattworks delivered the drones to Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade and conducted training on their use. Additionally, the company supplied two masts with cables, antennas, and amplifiers to enhance signal range and flight distance. Krattworks will continue supporting the drones through software updates and, if necessary, repairs for any damage sustained in combat zones.
The charitable campaign supporting Ukraine was initiated on February 24, 2022, by the Foundation for the Promotion of National Defence together with the Estonian Reserve Officers’ Association. The campaign supports the purchase and delivery of equipment and medical supplies to the war zone. As of June 25, €6,207,683.63 has been raised for Ukraine.
