Corona encourages innovation in stone surfaces and worktops
Granitop is a granite, marble and composite stone worktop manufacturer and retailer. Although covid caused major decline in turnover and change in certain sectors, there are areas where the global pandemic has also a positive impact. For example - as more people stay in home offices, more attention is paid to details, home repairs and furnishings - so the interest in stone surfaces is growing and in some places it even encourages innovation.
Granitop opened 3 new showrooms in Scandinavia
In the spring of 2022 we opened 2 showrooms in Finland, one in Helsinki and second one in Tampere. In cooperation with our local partners, it was decided that the display of our Finnish stone samples has been solved in the traditional way.
However, in our Swedish showrooms in Västerås and Göteborg, you can already see a completely new way of displaying, where the walls are covered with large stone panels. Many natural stones have a rather spectacular pattern - in the case of smaller stone samples, the whole beauty of the stone material does not stand out enough. We are especially proud of the Husknuten exhibition in Göteborg.
In the exhibition house and in the show-kitchen we have kitchen islands (an interior design hit of recent years) that show not only the professionalism of the stonemasons and the beauty of the stone, they also have a practical side. The kitchen island features 4 of the most popular ways to attach a sink. In a contactless exhibition it is very important that the offered opportunities and solutions reach the customers without the explanations of the sales consultant.
Development does not stop
Because visiting the showrooms still requires some effort and in many cases distance can become an obstacle, we have also created a virtual kitchen planner, which will be launched by this summer at the latest. Granitop's 3D-Showroom will be available in 8 languages and it will allow you to try out how different worktop materials would fit in the kitchen. This solution will soon be available on both mobile and computer and it will allow to try out interior design solutions without leaving home.
