Commemorative Stamp Issued for the 100th Anniversary of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
On April 5, Omniva issued a postage stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The stamp features the iconic headquarters building of the Chamber, located in Tallinn’s Old Town at Toom-Kooli 17. The design was created by Kaarel Kukk.
“This newly released stamp is a continuation of the thematic collection ‘Estonian 100-Year-Old Institutions’, which celebrates the century-long contribution of key structural pillars to our society,” said Hannes Nagel, Head of Philately at Omniva. “Business and the umbrella organizations that unite it have always played a significant role in shaping the country’s economy and regional policy.”
Similar stamps dedicated to commerce and chambers of commerce have previously been issued by several countries – including Finland, Bolivia, Germany, India, and France, Nagel added.
The commemorative stamp costs €1.30 and is valid for domestic mailing within Estonia. The print run of the stamp is 15,000. The stamp, along with a first day cover and an information card, is available for purchase in Omniva's e-store and post offices across Estonia. The first day postmark is available at the Tallinn Kaubamaja post office.
