Terms of Use for the Member Logo of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

A member of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has the right to use our member logo to demonstrate their affiliation with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Our member logo usage terms explain how and when the member logo may be used.

Member Logo

The member logo is a visual identifier of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry that may only be used together with the following wording:

  • „Eesti Kaubandus-Tööstuskoja liige”, 
  • “Member of Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry” 
  • „Член Эстонской торгово-промышленной палаты”

The purpose of the member logo is to indicate to third parties that you are a member of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Where and how may the member logo be used?

The use of the member logo is permitted:

  • on your company’s promotional materials (printed materials, print advertisements, posters, video clips, website, etc.);
  • on your business cards and letterheads.

The member logo has the following minimum sizes: 20 mm, 15 mm, and 10 mm, and these dimensions are based on the diameter of the member logo (without the accompanying wording).
 


Our member logo may be used in both vertical and horizontal versions. In both cases, the size of the member logo may be increased or reduced down to 10 mm, but the proportions must be maintained, and the wording must always remain clearly visible and legible against the background. It is important to ensure that there is sufficient clear space around the logo.

Obligations of the Member Logo User

  • Always use the member logo together with your company name and logo/trademark – the member logo must not appear on its own and must be equal to or less dominant than your company name and logo/trademark.
  • Do not distort, crop, or cover the member logo with other elements.
  • Do not use the member logo on invoices, contracts, or other transaction documents.
  • Do not use the member logo in a way that may give the impression that we advertise or endorse your specific product or service.
  • Do not use the member logo in any manner (including on a product, packaging, website, advertisement, or elsewhere) that could lead a third party to believe that we are the manufacturer, importer, or otherwise responsible for the goods or services or their defects.
  • Do not use the member logo in a way that creates obligations for us towards third parties.
  • Be prepared, at our request, to promptly provide information and/or samples showing how you use the member logo.
  • When using the member logo on your website, include a link to our website at www.koda.ee

Right to Use the Member Logo and Its Validity

The right to use the member logo is valid throughout the duration of your membership. To receive the member logo, indicate in the membership application form that you wish to use the member logo. We will provide you with the member logo in electronic format once you have become a member.

If we change the design or visual elements of the member logo, we will notify you, and you are required to immediately adopt the new member logo. If you are unable to implement the new member logo within three months from our notification, you must inform us immediately.

Upon termination of membership, the use of the member logo must be discontinued immediately in all places where it has been used.

Violation of the Member Logo Usage Terms

The right to use the member logo is conditional upon compliance with the above terms. In the event of a breach, we have the right to immediately suspend your right to use the member logo and to claim compensation for any damages incurred. In case of violations, we have the right to claim the following contractual penalties:

  • Breach of the wording requirement – if you use the member logo without the required wording specified above, we have the right to claim a contractual penalty of up to 2,500 euros;
  • Use after termination of membership – if you continue to use the member logo after your membership has ended, we have the right to claim a contractual penalty of 10 euros for each calendar day until you cease the unauthorized use of the member logo;
  • Breach of other usage conditions – if you violate the obligations set for the member logo user or other requirements set out in these terms, we have the right to claim a contractual penalty of up to 1,000 euros.

You are liable for any third-party claims arising from the use of the member logo to the extent that such claims result from your breach of these usage terms.

Disputes shall be resolved in the Harju County Court.

Amendments to the Terms of Use

We have the right to amend the member logo usage terms at any time. We will publish a notice of any changes on our website and notify all member logo users of the changes by email.
