The Ministry's response to the increase in the tax-free limit of the allowance for the use of a personal car: a thorough analysis must be carried out first

At the beginning of September, we proposed to the Ministry of Finance to increase the tax-free limits for compensation for the use of a personal car provided for in the Income Tax Law, since the current limits no longer allow compensation for work trips in the previous volume, taking into account recent very high inflation, including the increase in fuel prices, passenger cars and costs related to the maintenance of passenger cars.

The Ministry of Finance agreed that the tax-free limit for the use of a personal car provided in the Income Tax Law should be changed. The Ministry considers that it is necessary to carry out a thorough analysis in advance in order to find ways to make the corresponding change. Therefore, at the moment, it is not possible to introduce a change without a prior analysis.
