Best Estonian Companies 2025
On 1 November 2025, at the “Best Estonian Companies 2025” awards gala, the country’s most outstanding enterprises were recognised. The title of Company of the Year was awarded to the engineering and manufacturing company Tech Group, which develops and produces complex and high-value production lines sold directly to Europe’s automotive, semiconductor, and photonics industries.
According to Ursel Velve, Chair of the Management Board of the Enterprise and Innovation Foundation, Tech Group represents smart manufacturing characterised by digitalisation, automation, and a very high level of engineering excellence.
“Tech Group’s success demonstrates that Estonia can increasingly offer the world not only subcontracting work but also original engineering ideas and solutions of its own. Companies like this are the future of our economy and serve as an inspiration for the next generation of engineers,” said Velve.
Hando Sutter, CEO of the Estonian Employers’ Confederation, emphasised that the Company of the Year is an exceptionally innovative and high-growth industrial enterprise.
“The success achieved in highly competitive international markets proves that systematic investment in innovation pays off. Tech Group is a role model for all our industries striving towards higher value-added production. Increasing value-added is indeed the key to Estonia’s economic success,” noted Sutter.
“It is a great pleasure to see Estonian companies offering world-class engineering solutions created through innovation, digitalisation, and automation—driving us ever faster towards a high value-added economy. By highlighting competitive and ambitious companies, we are fostering an entrepreneurial culture that attracts more people to business and supports the long-term development of our economy,” said Mait Palts, Director General of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Located just outside Tallinn, Tech Group, with over 100 employees, designs and manufactures original equipment and robotic solutions for manufacturing companies. These systems, in turn, produce complex components ranging from microchips to medical devices. The engineering and production teams collaborate to deliver complete solutions—from prototyping and industrial design to serial production. Almost all of the company’s output is exported, mainly to Germany, as well as to Finland and Switzerland. The jury also noted Tech Group’s broader contribution to Estonian society by promoting engineering among young people and increasing awareness of the attractiveness of the industrial sector.
The Company of the Year was selected from among the top performers in the Enterprise Award competition organised by the Enterprise and Innovation Foundation and the Estonian Employers’ Confederation, and the Competitiveness Ranking competition organised by the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
