Chris Lo, Regional Director for Europe, Central Asia and Israel, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC):
Chris is Regional Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council responsible for the market in Europe, Central Asia and Israel. He has an international career and spearheaded numerous mega trade programmes and initiatives promoting stronger and more impactful trade and investment partnership between Hong Kong and its global partners, covering key industries including biomedical innovation and healthcare services, creative industries, financial services, infrastructure development, supply chain and logistics management, fashion and jewellery, food and beverages and more.
Prior to his current role, Chris steered HKTDC’s programme and operations in France, Spain and Portugal between 2023 and mid-2024, and in Western United States between 2017 and 2020. He played a pivotal role facilitating European and U.S. enterprises and investors across different sectors to trade, invest and do business in Asia through partnership with Hong Kong. Chris also managed the Secretariat of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide, a network of network of 49 Hong Kong Business Associations in 38 countries and regions with close to 11,000 individual associates.
In his earlier career, Chris also worked for the United Nations International Trade Center in Switzerland as well as the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
