Fostering Psychological Safety in the Workplace
Psychological safety is one of the key factors in high-performing teams. It influences employee wellbeing, engagement, and learning ability, as well as the capacity to collaborate, think creatively, and admit mistakes. However, in many organizations this sense of safety is not intentionally cultivated—or even recognized when it’s missing.
In this session, we will explore the factors that foster or hinder a psychologically safe work environment, the role of leaders and HR in building it, and how to identify risks that prevent people from speaking up, growing, and feeling well within the company. We will share examples from organizational practice and provide concrete tools that can be applied in everyday work to create a healthy work environment. We will also examine how psychological safety is linked to employee stress and mental health.
