Karen holds degrees and certifications in Biochemistry, Public Administration, Project Management and Contracts Law. She currently resides in Washington, DC .
Karen M. Austin is currently a Category Manager/Contracts Officer for Global Telecommunications at the World Bank Group. Ms. Austin is responsible for the communications to and from 189 offices around the global. She has worked with her clients to install a worldwide communications system, a Washington, DC headquarters based Integrated Communications Platform which is connected globally by a SIP Trunk system, Multi-Protocol Link Services, Internet Protocol Link Connections and Satellite (VSAT) network system. She is currently working with her clients on a pilot program to take the World Bank Group communications completely wireless through use of cellular devices, tablets and laptops.
